Hey Mike,

We don’t actually collect any data because you cannot connect to the app with Facebook. If you weren’t logged in to Facebook when you hit the button, you will be asked to log in to Facebook but none of that info goes to us.

The reason we don’t put the notice on the front page is that existing users and new users use the same button to connect, so we only know whether or not you’re new once you have signed in to Facebook (in which case we don’t collect info).

why does your front page offer to intsall that app, asks me to login to facebook, collect (my) the users personal data before saying it’s not available to new users?

why not post this rather important information on the front page of your website, so that i don’t give your app any access?

Hello,

I am not a new user, but I have set up a new Facebook page. Not only will it not allow me to make a new connection to the new Facebook page, but I logged out and tried to log back in and now it won’t even let me do that. Very disappointing, to say the least.

Just disovered TweetPo.st and am gutted that I can’t try it out, but am really pleased to see that it’s because you are being thoughful and respectful to your current users rather than trying to get as many people on board as possible regardless of the consequences.

I will be following you on twitter and hope that you will find the time to develop TweetPo.st soon as I would love to sign up.

This is a real bummer. I have an account, but it seems that Tweetpo.st has completely stopped working for me. Maybe Twitter will update their solution with some of the nifty features from Tweetpost.

Man, this is sad news. I know Facebook hasn’t been playing nicely with their new API changes… the Smart Twitter app I’d been using up until recently got broken too. I discovered TweetPost way too late into the game and won’t be able to use it just yet. Really hoping to see things progress so I can try it out. I love some of the features here, especially name resolution!
